The Dicks
Nick
Who am I? No idea. I drank far too much Jagermesiter in my youth to not be considered a modern medical miracle and after a record breaking streak of poor decisions, I finally got something right with my amazing wife and beautiful daughter. I traded in the Jager and beer pong for sipping whiskey and Peppa Pig tea parties, but could not be happier. Verdicks is a passion project and the culmination of a life long goal of trying to monetize hanging out with my best friends. Each one of us is making this up as we go along, and we invite you to learn from our experiences.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
D-Rock
Most consider him to be “The Clooney” of the group and comparatively speaking, we wouldn’t disagree. Until Verdicks can become his full time job, Denny works as an Environmental Scientist where he is sufficiently gruntled in the career path that he has chosen. His interests include arguing with his old lady who insists on covering everything in his house with shiplap, yelling at his kids (for being kids), and having a never-ending list of house projects that need to be completed. He’s cheap, cranky, and loves to argue.
His motto: “Fat, drunk and stupid is the only way to go through life.”

BRI MAN
Man. Myth. Legend.
The B-Man. Dude, dad, do-it-yourselfer, dickhead.
Like almost everyone else I know, I’m trying to figure things out while also holding it all together. I’m a dreamer and idea man. I overeat, overspend, and overestimate things like my looks, skills, and abilities. I’m closing in on 40. I’ve been married for 12 years. I have twin boys, fantastic friends, an amazing job, a great home, and a dog who pulls too much on his leash. I believe that you attract what you put out. I strive to be better and am proof that you can simply fake it until you make it.
Mantra- I am happy, healthy, grateful, and rich.
The 2020 Pandemic physically separated people but also brought them together in other ways. In March four life-long friends started participating in weekly Zoom conversations. What started as virtual beers with bros, slowly evolved into a much more meaningful meeting. What sprung was a weekly therapy session in which we, as men, share our struggles and successes. We set goals and acknowledged our struggles. We gave each other advice and asked for it in return. We also laughed, got drunk, got high, ranked nearly everything you can think of, played games, talked shit, mused about the future, argued about politics, and enjoyed each other’s company in a way we had not at any other time in relationships. We also came to realize that there was value in what we were doing and that the content of these sessions would also be useful to others. Specifically, other dudes who like us are just trying to figure it all out.
Why call it Verdicks?
Initially we set out to solve disputes between men. We brainstormed that we would hear people’s problems, judge who was right, issue verdicts, and establish sentences. Hence Verdicks was born. As time went on, we began to understand that we could give opinions, answers, and decisions on lots of things. We could issue a Verdick on products, experiences, disputes, and just about anything.
Are we qualified?
Definitely not. However, we have been poor and rich, married and divorced, sick and well, fit and fat. We’ve been stressed, confused, and alone. We’ve struggled with work, wives, kids, finances, and friendships. We’ve tried lots of products and get rich/ripped quick schemes. We have literally climbed mountains, earned promotions, traveled the world, made families, built support systems and loved.
Shields up?
A shield communicates stability, protection, longevity, tradition, solidity, masculinity, toughness, boldness, confidence, no retreat, no surrender. This is our approach to Verdicks and to our lives.
